Who has it harder in society? Men or women? Explain your thinking using specific examples.
I think women have it harder in society because they symbolize house wives. They also have to be treated incorrectly by men like when they have kids their babies daddy's leave them.
In my society (yes, lfrom what I'VE seen), both genders have it hard in this world. I'm just saying this because I see it everyday. For example, one day I was walking during the night around 11:00pm. I saw a bottle fly and land 3 feet away from me. It came from a woman that was mad at her partner and chased him out. She was screaming at him and I just had to keep walking to my destination. Thoughts of how that man must have felt flooded my mind, but I just kept walking. This is relevant due to the fact that not only women are being disrespected, but at times, men are too. Anyways, on the other hand, women are disrespected and it is plainly visible. The media communications (television, radio, internet, telephones, etc.) are built as a source of indoctrination to all of the world. No matter if you are looking at the vintage or the present, you will either see it intrinsticly (implicitly) or extrinticly (explicitly). Watch! Just go outside and tell me you do not see anything that has passed through the filthy hands of hate and dehumanizing power!!! Yeah, what a change this world has gone through. no offense though.
I agree with Noemi. From what we can see, women are stereotyped as the people who are the housekeepers, nannys, discipliners, and so forth also known as the house wife. This is why...history repeats itself. For example, women alwaays played this role when the fathers had to go to work and bring food to the table. As of the present, it has reduced due to the rights women were given during the lapse of time. Women could go back to school even if they were 16 years old, women were given suffrage in the early 1900's, women could participate in warfare, etc. Since we have a demanding institutional government, they have found a way to discrimminate women, and other groups to segregate our union and prevent any positive changes. The higher institutions don't have to kill us, some of our people go against us anyway and murder us. In that case, i might as well agree with everyone else. That's my ending note; see ya people.
I THINK UP IN OUR SOCIETY ITS COME HARD ON BOTH MALE AND FEMALE. MEN ARE DEPENDED UPON BY THEIR FAMILY AND EXPECTED TO PROVIDE AND THE POLICE HARASS US A LOT MORE THAN WOMAN. LADY'S HAVE IT HARD BECAUSE SOME TIMES DUDES DON'T MAN UP TO THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AND LEAVE A WOMAN TO TAKE CARE OF A FAMILY THAT THEY BOTH HELPED CREATE. I THINK ITS REALLY MALE OR FEMALE BECAUSE WE ALL AS BLACK,BROWN,MALE,OR FEMALES ARE APART OF AN MARGINALIZED GROUP.SO WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN OBSTACLES WE JUST HAVE FIGHT HARD AND MAKE IT THREW THEM
i think its harder for women because there are a list of thing we have to fullfill we have alot of thing that were suppost to do to be a certain way and women can work just as hard as men and still get payed less like in any job men get 25 cent more and hour than women do. why?? because we live in a male dominent world were women cant even be compared somtitmes and its not fair i agree with noemi
In my opinion women are the ones that have it harder in society. I think this beacause women are seen as many objects in life: hoes, sluts, bitches,easy to get sex from, ect. But men are seen as: pimps and tough guys. Men believe that their the "MAN" of the house. That if it wasn't for them women would be nothing but without them realizing women do many things as well as the men do. We could work but like Stacy says our paycheck will have what a couple of 25 cents less than the men's paycheck. While the men work the women stay home and raise the kids, clean the house, do the laundry, and cook so the men could have something to chew on when they get home from work. Women in society should be seen as more valuable people because as in my point of view we can do many things that men do is just that society puts us women down.
In my opinion, women have it harder in society. I say that because we live in a male dominent world. For example if a women gets a lot of guys they are seen as holes or sluts, but if a man gets a lot of women they are seen as pimps. Men believe that the women should be the one to do everything in the house or in other words be a housewife. For me women in society should be viewed as more valuable because anything men can do we can do it better.
I think women have it harder because women are mostly stuck raising the children, cooking food, cleaning the house and other things. For the women that do work they are paid less even though if there is man who does the same thing she does, she is still paid less, Aside from that, alot of women suffer from domestic violence and often viewed as sex tools.
Well I think women have it hard in society. Men are seen as the heroes and as the "playas." While women are seen as b*****S and tools. Women are supposed to clean, cook, etc. While men have to take control of the family household. Women can't be presidents in this society because they're not seen as leaders.
I totally disagree with Uvaldo! Women can be presidents in this society. Sarah Pailin almost became our president but i think she just probably didn't have the ideas this country needed to help us rise. I also think think that the fact that women are seen weak in power has to do with the her not being able to make it to top two.
I believe that women have harder in society. Women arent as strong as men both physically and emotionally. We don't see media portraying men as sex objects. Women are the ones being portrayed as sex objects. Media also puts a pressure towards women and uses indocrination to make them believe that to be beautiful you have to look a certain way.

Thier Also Being Portrayed As Sex Objects, That They Should Dress A Certain Way, They Have To Do Certain Things To Look Beautiful. Thier Selfesteem Lowers Because Of Things They See On Magazines, Media, Television, ETC.
- I Agree With Tirsa Because Yeah It's True We Don't See Males Portrayed As Sex Objects We Mostly See Females Seen As Sex Objects Because Thier Mostly Half Naked, Doing Somewhat Dog Poses In Magazines, Being See As Hoes, Sluts, Bitches, ETC.
